I always wanted to make a tutu skirt for my baby girl and I always thought that it is difficult. Well I have to say that it's not difficult at all but to be honest it takes quite a few hours to get it done. What do I have for you? 10 Easy steps with pictures so that you can understand the procedure better.
All you'll need is:
- Tulle fabric
- Elastic band
- Measuring tape
Step 1. Fold the tulle fabric in half.
Step 2. Measure the tulle fabric in to stripes of your desirable length and size.
Step 3. Cut it in stripes ... A lot of stripes....many many stripes....
Step 4. Measure the child's waist with the elastic band and cut it as much as it needs to be cut. (I cut it 3 cm smaller than she needed it so that it will be tighter on her).
Step 5. Sew the elastic band at the ends with a needle and a thread. It doesn't need a special technique...go on try it!!!.
Step 6. Take a hard piece of paper for example from a food package or a book and start putting your tulle stripes as on the picture.
Step 7. I did a knot in every strip so that it would not be possible to fall off in the future due to the fact that she will dance her heart out with it!!! LOL :)
Step 8. Take a deep breath, drink a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and keep going...you are almost there!!!
This is the moment you start to think about "Why on earth did I decide to try this thing ? For the love of God why???" And while tying the knots you chant a few "OOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM OOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM namaste"
Step 10. You are finally DONE! Try it on your baby girl and drams please...............
